The Model Y is the Model T of our time

The Ford Model T is known as the first mass-market vehicle. Ford built an affordable car that changed the life of the American middle-class.

Similarly, Tesla Model Y is the first mass-market affordable electric car. But it’s more than that:

• Designed and built in the USA.

• First car to have a really advanced driving assistance that works.

• It is the future in terms of energy and battery management.

• As easy as an iPhone to use

• One of the safest cars.

Tesla Model Y — debuting ~100 years later than the Model T

I have owned a Tesla Model Y since 2020. And after 5 years and 50,000 miles, I am still amazed at how great this car is after each ride. I have Full-Self Driving (FSD) since 2020 and the car drove itself more than 90% of the time. I never had any issue charging the car, even after driving across the country. I never spent a dime beyond basic maintenance and the battery health is still great with only 8.5% degradation.

The Model Y is the Model T of our generation. The car (along the Model 3) redefined the car industry for the better. The car made me buy American-made cars but more importantly, enjoy long drives again.
